Rick Riordan Contest!

This Contest is Closed
All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows. While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time in The Last Olympian.

To honor the conclusion of this epic series, Books & Books will be hosting an author event at the Coral Gables Congregational Church. Where author Rick Riordan will read, and sign books for admiring fans. But as the final preparations are installed for the weekend's event, we realized we forgot the most important part. We don't have anyone to introduce Rick!

Normally one of us would gladly do it, but we figured, hey why not let the fans give Rick a proper intro, along with a FREE copy of The Last Olympian to the chosen winner.

Again however, this contest will be limited to those who will be able to attend the event.

So how about we get straight to the rules? To enter, just write up a short intro, which you would use to introduce the author. Please no longer than 4 minutes.

.:Rules:.
  • Write an intro to introduce Rick Riordan. 4 minutes max.
  • E-mail entry to yathenaeum@yahoo.com
  • You must be present at the event on May 17th.
  • Contestants are limited to 1 entry
  • Deadline is Friday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. Eastern
.:Prizes:.
1 entrant will receive:
  • 1: Chance to introduce Rick Riordan at The Last Olympian signing on May 17th.
  • 1: Copy of The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
Winners will be chosen on Friday, May 15th at 8:00 p.m. and announced shortly after.

I wish my middle school students could participate, but we live in Vista, CA. I have wanted to contact Mr. Riordan to get some books signed, but he is hard to find online! We are all HUGE Percy Jackson fans, I would do anything to get some books signed for my students.

Any suggestions?

Question: It's supposed to be in written format, correct? Not read in video format?

Oops. I skimmed the page. That's really too bad that it's limited to people who can attend, oh well I suppose =(

Mrs. Duncan, we're going to ask at the store if there's any way to get you those books.

Britta, yes written.
